Day #320 Doomsday

All I saw was, a huge wave is coming to me. Very big, and tall, as it covered my point of view in front of me. I ran and ran and ran, to seek for a higher ground. I was out of breath, together with hundreds of people climbing up the building as high as we can.

There we were in a room. After loosing our breath, we could not manage to climb any higher. We were only on the fifth floor. We see the flood above us, everything started to sink. I was all alone, without any of my family. I was with some of my office colleagues and hundreds of people I don't know. We were just looking down, busily wondering what would happen next. There, I remembered to call my family at home.

My mother picked up the phone, but it was my father who spoke to me.
"Sorry I cannot be there this time for you. You take care of yourself, okay? Everything is going to be fine."
Like always, he spoke very firm to me. No signs of worry or scared even though doomsday is happening.

Then I talked to my mother. This time, it was me who talked a lot. "Mother, thank you for everything. And I am sorry for everything." There I started to cry. She replied "Yes, you take care. Everything is going to be okay. See you my daughter." Again, no signs of worry or frightened  though doomsday is happening. It is like ... well, this is the day. The day that has been promised to us. Let's embrace.

While me, keep busily thinking about my life, my future, and most important my son. Didn't I promise him to be always there for him, but now I cannot. I cannot even reach home. But I am sure he is at home together with my father and mother and they will take care of him very well.

Then I called Bubu. He was in the office as well, and could not make to go home. "Bubu, I cannot be with you sorry. Good bye." and I heard he smiled, and said "It is okay. No goodbye, ... see you soon honey. See you soon." He smiled, and I smiled too. I was no longer thought about my son. I closed my eyes as another huge wave hit the building, and I started to drown.

It was the first time I had ever dreamed of the doomsday. As I opened up my eyes, I feel so fortunate that I am alive still and so are the people I love.
