Day #14 A night walk

I am not one of those morning people. I woke up the earliest at seven every morning (most of them at eight thirty) then I usually take a sun bath while doing some laundry. It is nice to have its warmth on your back and releases the tension on your neck. Morning is never a time for exercise for me. Morning is a rush hour to prepare my day, as always. That is why I befriend night time. To have exercise, to write, to have a chat and to take a night walk. Just like what I did tonight.

I parked my car then I took a little night walk circling the neighborhood. That was actually the route I usually take everyday but it feels different when I passed it walking instead of driving. The garden I had never seen, the abang nasi goreng in the corner, the cricket sounds. The stars above and of course those hyperactive hamsters in my head that wont stop tickling my brain. It was ten thirty at night, and I just keep walking. Thinking of what happened, is happening and destination I am going to. My mind went off, thinking of things I might have forgotten now.

The night walk, and like every other walk, all come down to one thing: it is not merely about the destination but also about someone who is beside you along the journey.
